Our coaching associates aim to help leaders and managers at all levels get the very best from themselves and their workforce. We have worked with a succession of satisfied clients in banking and offer a bespoke service to any company seeking coaching. The ultimate benefit of coaching for a business is an increase in their bottom line through empowering and developing the skills of their staff.
Coaching is normally sought when executives or senior managers have challenges that are difficult for them to overcome. However, we believe it should also be used as a tool to develop management over time as well. Managers who have been through coaching are more motivated and focused on achieving work goals. This will affect the work ethic of the whole company not just the individual.
One-to-one coaching is an excellent way to identify and discuss individual issues and challenges that affect performance and behaviour at work. It provides a safe environment and a constructive climate in ways that other interventions do not. For some people, they may feel more able to commit to real actions for change on a 1:1 basis with a challenging and supportive coach.
We provide a range of coaching options, including:
- Business/Performance coaching
- Executive coaching
- Life coaching
- Career coaching
- Coach the Coach
- Group or Team coaching
- Coaching Supervision
Our coaching programmes can also be supported by our online Academy.
Our Coaching Philosophy
- Fundamental is to create a supportive and yet challenging environment – our coaches are used to working with highly successful individuals that want and need to be challenged to take them further on their development. In our experience challenge needs to be balanced with support and an understanding of the environment in which the coachee operates.
- Our coaches always try to work in a pragmatic way, i.e. find what works for the client rather than be limited by a model or set way of working, this means being flexible in our approach.
- We believe coaching to be a true partnership that enables individuals to deepen their learning and improve their performance.
Coaching Ethics
A number of our coaches use accredited coaching and mentoring organisational guidelines to maintain an approach to be ethical in coaching practice. In essence these guidelines cover the following areas:
- Competence; Working within the bounds of their experience and knowledge, continuing ongoing professional development and maintaining a relationship with a suitable qualified coach supervisor
- Context; The coaching relationship reflects the context of the coaching situation in which it takes place; that all expectations are both understood and know what needs to be done to meet them; creation of an open environment focused on learning for all parties
- Boundary Management; At all times operate within the boundaries of the coach’s competence and know when that might be exceeded and help the client find a suitable coach or specialist support. Be aware of any potential conflicts of interest if they are commercial or emotional in nature, and quickly manage that situation to avoid any potential harm to client or sponsoring organisation
- Integrity; Maintain agreed confidentiality agreements, only disclosing information where a coach believes there is significant danger to the client or others if information is withheld. Always acting within the law and not to encourage or collude with others to act in any way unlawfully, dishonestly, unprofessionally or in a discriminatory way
- Professionalism; Maintain a safe, supportive and challenging environment, not to exploit the client or sponsor in any circumstances, understanding that a coach’s responsibilities to the client may last longer than the contract terms of the coach/client relationship, including safe storage of records and information. Demonstrating respect for the coaching profession and colleagues through how a coach behaves and avoiding any misrepresentation of any kind.
